I am Sean, the founder and driving force behind Melodic Mind. As a software engineer and musician, I have combined my two passions to create innovative apps and tools that help musicians of all levels explore the world of music and develop their skills.
I have been programming since I was 13 years old and started playing guitar when I was 14.
After serving 3 years in the army, traveling in Japan and China, I started my software engineering degree. In my first summer-semester I started working on Note-Art - a library which implements music theory in code, it is fully open-source and available on GitHub.
I then used it to create the first version of Music Guru, which was a web app that helped musicians explore music theory.
I had hoped to make a living off of it, I thought people would contribute money to support the project, but unfortunately it was not successful, as you have to be good at marketing yourself in order to make money using things like Patreon - and it was not my strong suit.
So I spent years working on it, improving it and adding more stuff, all in my free time, while also working other jobs. La-Vocal is the second app I created, it is a vocal training app that helps singers improve their singing skills. I now have the foundation to create almost any music app I can think of, and I am constantly working on new ideas and innovations to help musicians take their skills to the next level.
My dream is to make Melodic Mind a successful company, and I am constantly working on new ideas and innovations to help musicians take their skills to the next level.
I am dedicated to supporting musicians on their journeys to achieve their full potential, and I believe that music has the power to change lives.
