What is Melodic Studio?

Melodic Studio is a powerful, yet simple music production tool that allows you to create music. It uses a modern approach to music production by looping clips and layering them to build your tracks(similar to the Session View in Ableton Live). You can record your performance in real-time, edit clips, add effects, and export your music.

Creating Clips

  1. Open Melodic Studio and start a new project, then choose any of the instruments.
  2. Click the record button to start recording OR Press the play button and just start playing - Melodic Studio captures your performance in real-time and let's you capture it with the capture button later.
  3. After recording/capturing, you will be able to hear what you recorded already looping.
  4. Now click the Clip View button to see the clip you just created.
  5. In the Clip View, you can:
    • Change the volume: Adjust the volume of the clip to fit your mix.
    • Edit the clip: Click the parameters button to see and edit the clip's notes.
    • Add effects: Apply various audio effects to enhance your sound.
    • Change instruments: Swap out the instrument for a different sound if desired.
    • Solo/Mute/Download/Delete: Use the solo and mute buttons to isolate or silence the clip during playback.

    Creating scenes

A scene is a collection of clips that play together. A scene saves the current state of all clips, so you can easily switch between different parts of your song. You can create scenes either by going to the Scene View and clicking New Scene, or by clicking the context button above the timeline that tells you on which scene you are currently in and selecting New Scene.

    Creating an arrangement

After creating multiple scenes, you can simply use them to create your song. You can do it either by clicking the context button above the timeline that tells you on which scene you are currently in clicking the Add to arrangement button on the right of each scene card, or by going to the Arrangement View and clicking Add Scene.

Exporting your music
