Note from 2026/06/25 - it didn't work lol. Maybe now it will though!

I've been thinking a lot about consistency lately.

Not just when it comes to building software, but creating in general.

So I'm trying something new.

From now on, I'll be sharing more frequent updates about what I'm building, what I'm learning, and the challenges I run into while working on Melodic Mind.

I think it'll be fun to look back on one day, and hopefully you'll enjoy following the journey too.

Today's progress

Most of today was spent improving Music Guru.

Nothing flashy, just the kind of work that makes an app feel smoother to use.

I fixed a few issues around editing and replacing chords, cleaned up some confusing edge cases, and generally made the whole experience feel more reliable.

Those aren't the kinds of updates that make great screenshots, but they're the ones that make the biggest difference over time.

Daily Small Tunes

I'm also starting a personal challenge.

Every day I'll write a short musical idea.

Nothing polished.

Nothing overproduced.

Just a small piece of music.

Some of them will probably be terrible.

Hopefully a few will turn into something bigger.

Either way, I think creating every day is one of the best ways to grow, so I'm excited to see where this goes.

A small milestone

Another exciting thing happened today.

Melodic Mind now has its first official employee.

For a long time it's just been me doing... well, everything.

Programming.

Design.

Music.

Marketing.

Support.

So having someone help with growing the project feels like a pretty big milestone.

I'm looking forward to seeing where we can take Melodic Mind together.

Until tomorrow

That's it for today.

I'll be back with another update soon :)
