ONE IDEA, THEN ONE MORE THING ยท 03
Make a reverse swell.
Turn the end of a sound into the lead-in for something new.

Your starting point
Start with the Cinematic break sample, or choose Change sound to record a short sound of your own. Files are limited to 12 MB and 30 seconds.
- 01
Compare the two directions
Press Play. Compare Original and With effect. A sharp beginning becomes an ending when played backwards.
- 02
Choose a short phrase
Use the pad to change selection start and length. Choose a section that grows toward a clear ending. Preview again; the highlighted waveform shows the section you will keep.
- 03
Keep the swell
Download effect WAV to keep the reversed section. Import it in Audio Lab to trim or add effects, or use the Studio button to build a track around it. The download uses the effect even if Original was selected for comparison.
- 04
Give it somewhere to land
In Studio, add the suggested drum part. Move that clip after the swell on the Timeline. Play from the beginning and listen to the transition into the beat.
What to listen for
A useful swell leads into a clear moment. Try making the section shorter if the wait feels too long. You can also record a single clap and reverse its tail for a different lead-in.
One more thing to try
For more editing on one recording, download the WAV, open Audio Lab, and import it there. The Audio Lab link does not transfer the audio automatically.
